The Best Robot Vacuum That Mops
Noah Pinsonnault works as a product analyst for Good Housekeeping's Home Care and Cleaning Lab.
He reviews and tests cleaning equipment, with a focus on robot vacuums and mopping combos. These multitaskers can be an excellent choice for those who want to get rid of mopping off their list of things to do. They feature impressive mapping and obstacle avoidance capabilities, and some wash and refill their mopping pads to give themselves a hands-off clean.
The Eufy S1 Pro

This is the model to select if you're looking for a robot vacuum cleaner that also mop. It's smaller than other options on this list which makes it easier to maneuver through tight corners and under furniture. It has a 220-degree lidar that combined with its 3D Matrix camera system gives it some of the most effective navigation and object avoidance I've ever seen in a robotic vacuum. It has a 4600mAh battery that can last for up to 170 mins when mopping and sucking is set to standard mode. (It can run longer on turbo). It can even return to its dock to replenish its battery in mid-clean.
It's quick and does a great job cleaning my two-bedroom apartment. It cleans the carpeted rooms extremely quickly and the hardwood floors in the kitchen, living room, and hallways in a single pass. The motor's 8,000pa power allows it to pick up dirt, pet hair, and droppings with ease. Carpet detection automatically boosts power when it comes into contact with rugs, and the two side brushes help to tease away debris from corners.
The mopping performance, while still impressive, is not as effective. The mop rotates quickly and uses 2.2lbs to clean dirt and stains. I've noticed that the front arm extends out a little more than other robots. This is useful in difficult corners or along baseboards. The same front arms can also be used to collect larger pieces of debris, like books and broken toys.
The S1 Pro is also one of the quietest robot mops and vacuums I've tried. It doesn't produce as loud of a sound when mopping or vacuuming and is much quieter than the Narwal Freo X Ultra or RoboRock S7. The S1 Pro is only limited by the fact that it must use a proprietary mopping solution and is sold separately. It is easy to set up, and it works well. However, if you are buying this vacuum solely for mopping, you will need to be aware of this.
The Roborock Q Revo
The Q Revo is different from other robot vacuums in its class. It is a powerful machine for cleaning with a variety of features.
The device comes with an impressive and powerful cleaning system that combines LiDAR sensors with an RGB camera to map the house and locate furniture and other obstacles. It can then use this information to clean methodically and efficiently. This ensures an efficient and consistent cleaning and is also fast.
In terms of mopping, Q Revo's DuoRoller mop pads can be used to reach an array of surface areas. This includes baseboards, corners and other difficult to reach areas. They also have a stretchy side brush that can extend to the floor in close proximity to walls and other fixtures. Additionally the mop pads are able to be cleaned and dried to prevent build-up and reduce the odors.
App-based customization is yet another noteworthy feature. The Q Revo lets you alter the suction level and select either a back-and-forth or a random pattern. You can also adjust the number of passes it must make, which will determine how quickly the device can traverse your home. You can also turn off the side brush in order to prevent damage to carpets and rug.
This device has a fairly expensive price tag, but it comes with a large selection of smart features. It's important to remember that it carries regular costs in the form of mopping equipment and maintenance. For example the brushroll has to be replaced after 300 hours or every six to twelve months. The filter should be cleaned after 150 hours and the mop pad needs to be replaced every one to three months.
The robot vacuum that mops is rated highly on Amazon and offers a wide range of physical automation features. It has the power button that doubles as a general 'Clean button as well as a Home' button that will send it back to its base station after finishing the cleaning process. It also comes with a multifunctional dock that automatically emptys the dustbin, refills its water tank, and cleans and dry its mop pads.
The Shark Matrix Plus
The Shark Matrix Plus will be an ideal choice for busy professionals or anyone looking to keep their home tidy without spending too much time doing chores. It's a top-performing device, intelligent navigation, and long battery life that allows you to keep your home clean with minimal effort.
The Matrix Plus robot vacuum is an all-in-one mop and vacuum. It is capable of mopping and vacuuming. The robot is divided into two components, a dry bin and water tank that can be snapped in and out and a mopping module which includes a microfiber pad. Separate modules for vacuuming and mopping might seem a bit outdated but they're a good thing because you don't have to think about changing disposable bags or refilling the tank with water.
Our test subjects found that the Matrix Plus did a great job at both vacuuming and mopping. Its most impressive feature is its precise floorplan map, which it uses when cleaning. The Matrix Plus was able to navigate easily between rugs, furniture, and other obstacles. The app also gives you the option to set 'No-Go zones' and virtual barriers, which help to shield certain areas of your house from being cleaned with a mop.
We also noticed that the Matrix Plus did surprisingly well in picking up pet hair. It was able to capture a large amount of hair that our cats shed, and even was able to get into the nooks and crannies of our stairs, where other robots struggled. best cheap robot vacuum was relatively quiet and even had some pleasant jingles that signalled when it was starting or completing its task.
The biggest flaws were its simple app and the necessity to switch out the modules whenever switching between vacuuming and mopping. The app isn't able to contain multiple maps, which could be a hassle when you live in a house with multiple floors. The Matrix Plus is a good choice for people who want a smart robot that can do both vacuuming and mopping.
The Yiko X1 Omni
The X1 Omni is the most expensive robot vacuum that can be found in our test, but it has some distinctive features that are worth a look. The X1 Omni is most notable for its huge dock that doubles as an charging base for the robot, a cleaning sink and two water tanks of 4 liters. It also houses a 2.5-liter dust bin as well as the 2.5 milliliter dust bin.
The base comes with several control buttons that allow you to manually start a cleaning task or recall the robot, or use the dock's auto-emptying procedure. Press two of the buttons to switch on a child lock that is a great touch for parents worried about kids tinkering with the vacuum.
Like robot vacuum cleaner amazon vacuums the X1 Omni uses its camera to detect furniture and obstacles in its path and eliminate them. Its True Mapping 2.0 navigation system will map your home 10 times faster than laser detection systems and is four times more precise at recognising objects.
The X1 can be prone to become stuck when it gets caught in an obstacle, such as a power cable draped over a rug. It won't function until you untangle it manually. This was a rare incident however, it was a bit frustrating because the X1 doesn't have a "stuck status" alert on its app.
The X1 Omni cannot automatically switch from mopping to vacuuming mode during a cleaning session. You'll have to manually switch between the two modes, which isn't too bad but the mopping pad isn't cleaned or dried between uses. This could lead to mildew and mold.
The X1 Omni looks great, thanks to the Jacob Jensen design team (of Bang & Olufsen fame), who created its sleek modern, contemporary base and mopping pad. It's a huge departure from the utilitarian all-black bases of rivals such as Roborock or iRobot. And it's an impressive sight in an industry dominated by boxy models.
